The Call That Changed Everything

August 2025. The phone rings in our Brisbane warehouse.

It's Carter Reum - Paris Hilton's husband.

Paris and Carter are moving to a stunning new Beverly Hills mansion (formerly owned by Mark Wahlberg), and they have a problem: Phoenix and London are absolutely obsessed with their Hide & Seek Kids cubby house. They don't want to leave it behind.

"The kids love it so much and keep going back to it to play," Carter tells us. "How can we relocate it to the new property?"

We had a better idea.

"Let us redesign it and create something entirely new - something even more magical for your new home."

Carter's response was immediate: "You did an amazing job last time. We trust you completely."

Creating Paris Hilton's dream playhouse wasn't a solo effort - it was a collaboration of five small businesses from Australia and the United States, each bringing their unique expertise to create something truly magical.

Hide & Seek Kids - The Foundation

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

We created the structure: two Billie Grand Cubby Houses connected by a bespoke pergola. Instead of relocating the original, we designed dual playhouses - one with a gummy bear theme, one with 3D pink love hearts. Each child could have their own magical world while staying connected.

Our biggest innovation? Perfecting a glitter application method that adds permanent sparkle without transferring to little hands or clothes. Layers of clear decking sealer and strategic application created that signature Paris glamour that catches the California sunshine beautifully.

Little Abodes Interiors - The Details

Little Abodes brought the personality. Custom acrylic signage and wallpaper transformed each cubby from structure to story. The house numbers, the interior accents, the small details that make kids gasp when they peek inside - that's Little Abodes magic.

Laura Michelle - The Lifestyle

From across the Pacific, Laura Michelle created custom aprons and cushions that blend Paris's aesthetic with childhood comfort. The international collaboration added another layer to this project - proving that when you're creating something special, the best partners can be anywhere in the world.

Juni Moon - The Play

Juni Moon supplied the felt food that turns a cubby house into a bustling café, a grocery store, a restaurant run by tiny entrepreneurs. Their beautifully crafted felt pieces are durable enough for enthusiastic play while looking gorgeous in photos.

Because at the end of the day, this isn't about impressing adults - it's about inspiring kids to play, imagine, and create their own worlds.

Grace & Maggie - The Welcome

First impressions matter. Grace & Maggie provided the rugs and mats that welcome Phoenix and London into their magical spaces. That splash of coordinated color and pattern at the entrance? That's Grace & Maggie understanding that magic starts the moment you arrive.

The Pink Requirement (Obviously)

Carter gave us almost complete creative freedom with one non-negotiable: "It has to be pink. It's Paris!"

Challenge accepted.

We experimented with shades, finishes, and that glitter technique that took countless trials to perfect. Too much sealer and the glitter flattens. Too little and it transfers. We found the sweet spot - permanent sparkle that stays put while kids play.

The result? Two playhouses that shimmer in the California sun, adorned with custom details from artisans across two continents, ready for years of imaginative play.

A Week in Beverly Hills

The installation took five days, and our entire family made the journey: the Hide & Seek Kids gang.

But this wasn't just a work trip. Carter insisted we enjoy the property:

• Mark Wahlberg's signature golf course (yes, I hit some balls)
• The Paris-inspired pink tennis court
• Resort-style pool with waterfall (yes, I jumped off it - Henry's next, well in a few years!)
• Water slides and hot tub overlooking the Hilton estate
